cleaner and more sustainable future.

Up to €50,000 in grants to boost Brain Recycle, the smart organic waste management system

Brain Recycle is an advanced digital system that connects all treatment plants and stakeholders in the organic waste value chain — from origin to final recovery.

Promoted by Hispania Silva and developed by KIWA, the project combines innovation, traceability, and sustainability to optimize production, logistics, and waste management in real time.

The system also enables emission monitoring, automated communication with public authorities, and energy recovery from waste, turning organic residues into valuable resources for rural areas.

💰 Available Grants:

  • Up to €30,000 for private entities

  • Up to €50,000 for public entities

An opportunity to move toward more efficient, transparent, and sustainable waste management.

SB Green Energy, in collaboration with Recycle Logística, advances in the development of an innovative cogeneration project in Almaraz (Cáceres)

SB Green Energy, in partnership with Recycle Logística, is moving forward with the development of a unique electric and thermal cogeneration project in the municipality of Almaraz (Cáceres). This new facility is committed to sustainability, energy efficiency, and the recovery of agro-industrial waste, consolidating a cleaner and more self-sufficient production model.

The plant will feature a 550 kW cogeneration engine, capable of producing an estimated 2.7 GWh of electricity per year, equivalent to the average consumption of more than 800 households annually.

The project will bring multiple benefits: it will enable the sustainable management of organic waste from agri-food facilities, reducing costs and dependence on external waste managers; it will generate electricity and heat for self-consumption, promoting energy savings and a reduced carbon footprint; and it will offer greater productive growth potential for associated livestock operations.

Construction is scheduled to begin in August 2025 and to be completed by January 2026, marking another step forward in the transition toward a more efficient, circular, and environmentally responsible rural energy model.

Up to 3 TWh of green energy: Hispania Silva and Naturgy expand their alliance to boost biomethane development in Spain

Through its specialized companies — Hispania Silva, Bioeco Energías, Recycle Logística, Biocompost, and Renewable TNG — the group comprehensively addresses the entire biomethane value chain, from engineering and waste management to energy and agronomic recovery.

In 2024, Hispania Silva and Recycle Logística signed a strategic alliance with Naturgy to develop more than 36 biomethane plants across Spain, with a combined capacity to generate 2.5 TWh per year, equivalent to the average consumption of 500,000 households. This agreement will reduce approximately 450,000 tons of CO₂ annually, contributing to the decarbonization of rural areas.

In 2025, the partnership was expanded with the incorporation of Bioeco Energías, increasing total production capacity to 3 TWh per year, equivalent to the energy needs of 600,000 households.

Naturgy thus reinforces its commitment to the circular economy by also joining Recycle, the company responsible for managing waste at the biomethane plants — ensuring a sustainable, innovative, and forward-looking model fully aligned with Spain’s energy transition goals.
